New Brighton Info Centre is a multi-purpose information centre that is rejuvenating and breathing new life into New Brighton.

New Brighton Info provides a welcoming space where people in and visitors to New Brighton can get information about:

• Local Recreation activities and events

• Connecting people with local community groups and services

• Local businesses and community groups

Many people who visit the community fridge & pantry are those who have “fallen through the gaps” and are often in distress and don’t know where to go for help. New Brighton Info, based in St Faith’s Church on Shaw Ave, will provide a welcoming place where the Greater Brighton community have access to the information they need to empower, enhance, and enrich their lives.

Social services including the Ministry of Social Development (MSD), Housing First, The Loft and Christchurch Methodist Mission have a regular presence at the centre to help break down the barriers of access to support. By being present in the community, people will have a safe, welcoming space in which to connect with the appropriate service for their needs.
